Did you not opt-out?

Earthlinks continuous "special offers" (spam) into earthlink mail accounts probably simply bother most customers.
I get zero "spam" email from Earthlink on all of my eight (8) email accounts. I've been opted-out since 2000 and I only receive my monthly invoice and the rare administration message.

Useful information. I dug around a found an option I hadn't previously opted out of. I'll see how it goes this month.

Regardless of the spam, Earthlink gives me the impression of being quite the hard sell company. I just completed a 10 minute chat about VOIP only to be pressed several times to buy their Norton package, despite telling them I had a separate AV.

I've never used their chat. Not since joining when it was Mindspring in 1998 with dial-up until DSL became available.

I guess that's why I don't have things like that Norton sales tactic to deal with.

What would you need to know about VoIP that they would know above and beyond what is on the EL web site? They are just repeating what is published and may even get things wrong. That's another reason I avoid chat.
