I'm actually not going. Although, I always think about it around this time of year. And I meant '95 on that first year up top. Seriously, no one here has ever gone? O.o

Guy at work told me it was the best one he'd ever been to. They did have a dust storm the day before he got there.

Here's some pictures for ya. Well, not Burning Man but high desert, it was hot, in and around Goldfield, Nevada. Mebbe you could call it 'Sleeping Man' or 'Recumbent Man'....

Hey, you can see 'Burning Man' pictures anywhere. Plus, there's a rattlesnake and bonus pictures of the Oakland, CA 'Sleeping Dog' event.

My hippy dippy niece said the nasty dust storm was the only downer to an otherwise wonderful weekend.

You really do have to expect the worse, when heading for Burning Man. Like the Boy Scout motto, "Be prepared."

When I first went in 1995, it rained so much, but it quickly dried out due to it being so damn hot. Micro thunderstorms would sweep through the playa. Dust storms would kick up from out of no-where. Every year after that I was prepared for whatever mother nature tossed our way.

It really was the most fascinating new experience at that time. Each year we brought more friends and it just ballooned. I'm sure it was the same way for everyone else who enjoyed the experience. If you're into trying something just once, then Burning Man should be on that list. Truly unforgettable.
