Um why does CTV NewsNet tell me 3 times from 4:15am to 4:25am to signup to Teksavvy? So wonder they are so damn busy.

So how much of a rate increase will we have to swallow to pay for the commercials?

Do you accept payments in Timbits?

Haha milnoc.... funny guy.

Sometimes you have to spend to make!

Doing a little trial and error right now to see what sticks and will attempt a more broad-stroke marketing campaign soon to keep the momentum going.

We've been bouncing on trying to find ways to fund various efforts and had bounced on the idea of increasing rates a couple months ago (discussed in DSLR), but after a little more discussion internally and a few nights of rest/thought we decided to try a stronger offensive first... We love the $29.95 amount and if we can make a winning combination of it we'd like to keep it there for as long as it will allow!

@vaxination.ca

Is this the right time to advertise and grow ?

Shouldn't the focus be to fix things internally and provide a portal so customers can manage their accounts before going on some national advertising campaign ?

If you get more customers than you can handle, then stories of bad experiences will emerge one after the other and that will ruin your reputation. You don't want to become another Cybersurf.

Ohhh JF.... You're such a pessimist!

Marc and I have cleared our schedules for the next month + (and for the previous month) and have been working with the various departments to make many changes.

We've hired more tech support staff, re-jigged the CSRs to speed a few things up on the processing/processes, been meeting/talking with Bell non-stop to try and have them get things worked out for both tech support and phone setup/support.

We've reworked the processes to stay on top of bell a little more, so that we not give them too much space to breath on troubled accounts.

We've stripped-down each order process and are almost done rebuilding forms/processes so that we land-up with orders that just flow from head to toe for processing, removing human error...

We've added internal filters/flags to catch mistakes and flawed/botched orders.

We're launching a DSL Line Quality Assurance department on this coming Tuesday to proactively go after screwed up lines and get them fixed.

We've also hired more staff for both development and network engineering to work with Marc so that we get even tighter on how the back-end comes together.

This baby's going to rock and roll in the coming months, but business must keep on trucking, as it always has.

The end result is that we plan on not only being the best at what we do, but also make it affordable.... It's a tough mix, but I/we think it's doable!

Damnit.... this network engineer over here would have applied if he had known I am already half-way to 151 Front St. and have an access card

Hey Rocky I got an a PR coup for you, rehire Frank and Gordon (The Bell Beavers) and have them just make fun of Bell ... heck let them say such things as "Bell fired us to go overseas for labour".

Jokes indeed .

You can be sure that Bell put the ad agency under a "nobody can use Frank and Gordon" clause.

Now THATS! management.

Rather than increase the price... increase the customers ! and what better way to do it than to provide excellent service at a reasonable price !

wow ... what a concept.

way ta go rocky.

the more publicity you get... showing the world between a cheap package with quality service vs. expensive package with throttling and caps.

if people still think they are best off with the 2nd choice,
i dont know what to think anymore.

just goes to show you how powerful media is, no matter what goes on behind the scenes.
