Mobile broadband speed to outpace fibre, GSMA predicts

HUH? "According to the GSMA, tests of the under-development 4G technology has demonstrated speeds of up to 186Mbps in the most ideal of conditions." What am I missing? OC-192 is 9953.28 Mbps. x4 for OC-768, and with DWDM that just keeps going up. Are they just talking about residential? Even that can go a lot faster.

It appears the writer thinks a fiber optic cable maxes out at 100mbit. And sadly doesn't even mention that at 186mbps, you are going to hit that 5gig cap in 3.7 minutes. So the speed is pretty much worthless.

While the 186 Mbps (or 277 Mbps according to Qualcomm - White Paper) speed that LTE would provide, it'd be ridiculously silly for them to cap it a 5GB. Something tells me they won't let it be unlimited tho. We'd all be downloading Blu-ray movies all day everyday . I could see a 100 GB cap. I personally am all for unlimited.
