| Is Steam Down?
I've been trying to connect to steam for a little while now and it is a no go for me. I also tried going to the steampowered forums but it was super slow and eventually timed out. Anyone else seeing this?
I know they are supposed to release an update for TF2 today, but I wouldn't think they'd take the whole frigin thing down to do it.
Edit: Well after 30 mins of trying it finally came back up and all seems to be fine now. TF2 is updating. I wouldn't have thought they would take steam down to update tf2 but that seems what they did. Weird!

| heavy updates came out, its always like that, forums die because people hammer them wonder why they cant connect/download etc
i managed to download the full game right when the heavy stuff was released at a reasonable speed (1.5mb/s)
i must have been lucky |

They don't take the network down to update the game... they never do that, might've just been too many requests from clients so the upload from Valve's side capped out I don't really know.
