Not at the moment but have in the past and will soon. Have been keeping track of all the updates for the list I am going to use. I just haven't set it up yet. Hp's is the one I use.

Hosts file were great in their day, saved remembering IP addresses but then we moved on and invented DNS. Not used one since, you should try it.

No.

Would never consider it - in the way some may add thousands of URLs to a list.

Possibly for specific limited circumstances. Like when an address has changed, but not yet propagated through DNS.

I use the hosts file at »www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm with modifications so that some of my tracking sites can be reached.
It's pretty effective at blocking most ads.

Not for any security purpose.

I use the one that came with the operating system, and perhaps add one or two local hosts for convenient reference (but with their correct IP address, not an attempt to block).

Depending on what I feel might work best, either the hphosts or mvps.org versions.

Yes

I use the MVPS one, with Hosts Man. There are a few entries I
have excluded, because they prevent Yahoo and Space.com
videos from working, as well as downloads of Google Earth.
