Frequent Posters

I was looking in the About section of some forums and noticed that all of them (that I viewed) had a Frequent Posters section, but none had any entries.

However, there is a link, to the left of the field, for frequent posters:

I did a search and didn't see this reported.

You may have to be using 'horizontal view' in your 'site preferences', or maybe you've got something (a NoScript setting, e.g.) blocking it.

Nope.

I get the same thing here using the "vertical or horizontal" menu. I noticed it the other day.

And I'm using Firefox/3.0

Then I don't know. I've currently got my own thread going about a site issue, for that matter.

I do know that 'frequent posters' was canned for a while, and personally, I wish it hadn't cropped back up again.
The list isn't even in order of 'frequency', it's in order or membership join date.

And I still say (as I did before) that someone posting 'frequently' in any particular forum has nothing whatsoever to do with the value of thoughts proffered or advice given.
But the list, while its intention may not be so, can easily give the impression to the casual observer that these people are the ones who should be listened to, or that give the most valuable advice.

Your opinion of the Frequent Poster status is probably best served in another thread, in another forum, as I'm simply reporting a bug in the Site Bugs forum.

I do not disagree with your view as it's like post count. Some people apparently feel that post count equal quality.

That said, I'm simply reporting a bug.
