Well, the adventure started last week, but it's getting better and better. I'm starting grad school in Edmonton, Alberta at the beginning of next month.

My Dad decided that the best way to get me there with my stuff was to take the motorhome and drive. After 4 days of (very) scenic driving through Nevada, Idaho, and Montana, we're now in a small town just northwest of Calgary.

Tomorrow we'll be driving a good portion of the Icefields Parkway through Banff and Jasper national parks.

Today we drove through part of Glacier National Park in Montana and saw some gorgeous scenery.

Due to the sheer number of hours behind the wheel, I've gotten a crash course, so to speak, on driving a 27 foot RV. Not bad but it definitely takes more attention to keep in the lanes, especially in gusty wind!

I'll keep posting, but it will definitely be from a different locale!

And finally, the requisite picture of me driving the RV.
Here are more shots. These are from Banff and Jasper National parks in Western Alberta. These two parks (which run together as one, connected by the Icefields Parkway) contain the best scenery I've witnessed in my life.

Thanks everyone!!

I'm now moved into my house in Edmonton, which is only a few blocks from the main U. of Alberta campus. Exciting!!

Edmonton, eh?

Sorry just had to say it.

I went through those parks back in 1984 or so. Simply staggering, still.
