| what is the symbol to watch oil prices?
Wanting to add this to my portfolio to watch its movement on a daily and weekly basis....what is the symbol for light sweet crude oil (I believe that is the type of oil that is gauged for fuel prices)?

You can track future contracts, which is probably better. Try CL\[Month code from below]08
Example: CL\Q08 will show the price for Light, sweet crude for August delivery
Jan. - F Apr. - J July - N Oct. - V
Feb. - G May - K Aug. - Q Nov. - X
Mar. - H June - M Sep. - U Dec. - Z

May not be able to add to your portfolio but you can detach the chart and keep it on your screen while you do other things.
Put you cursor over screen and option is on upper right corner.
