ISP changes detection

*Mods, please move this thread to where you think it belongs since I am uncertain*

I seeking for some assistance to help determine if my ISP is doing something to mess around with the service during daytime.

Basically the problem is that in my area and other areas as well, people that have the same ISP, are having problems when it comes to online gaming. Almost every single game lags so much that it is nearly impossible to play; that is... until 11pm every, until 9am of the following day, so from 9am to 11pm, games are unplayable.

It is ridiculous, 11pm on the dot and it's like nothing ever happened and also on Friday nights at 11pm, it works just fine until 9am MONDAY. so over the weekend there are no problems with online gaming.

Now, this brings me back to the topic. I want to know if there is any possible way to detect if my ISP makes any changes every night at 11pm and or 9am, that triggers this behavior.

I hope I got to explain myself well. Any assistance that can be provided, is greatly welcomed.

Regards,

Mike

What is your ISP?

Most of the regulars know which major ISPs are messing with traffic.

Start with comparing traceroutes to a few popular sites during good and bad hours (www.google.com, 4.2.2.1, etc).

Thank you for the suggestion.

I have tried the line quality test before and I have never been successful, I always get the following message.

"target IP does not respond to ICMP ping" and the line quality test cannot complete because of this.

»/testhistory/1489278/b9ca3 here is the report.

And most of the times, whenever I run a speed test, I always get "Warning: ISP upload compression was detected. Your upload speeds may be inaccurate." and this mostly happens whenever I use one of the test lines located on the west coast.

And for Mike, you asked who is my ISP. it's actually an international ISP called Codetel that is owned by the communications mogul Carlos Slim. Anyhow, I would like to find a way to figure out if they're really messing with the traffic during the day that is causing so many latency issues to so many users.
