| Corporate clients are not exempt from the 5GB cap
I've read here and there randomly that corporate-liable clients will not be under the new 5GB cap Sprint is implementing.
Well, I got a chance today to talk to my company's Sprint rep about this (which was admittedly a bit awkward, as I do not work in the IT dept) and he says there is no distinction between any clients when it comes to the new cap. Looks like we're all in the same boat.
Of course, this being Sprint, I'd have to hear this same answer confirmed at least 100 times to be certain it's correct. :P So, if any other corporate customers could chime in about this, please do! |

| reply to patrick80639 not surprised by this....so, effectively, if you go back 1 day before the "cut-off" date...then fast forward 2 years, that's the last day for Sprint's unlimited EVDO, and by then (probably sooner, all things considered) there won't be ANY unlimited EVDO customers....except for the government, of course. -- "True Patriotism is more closely linked with dissent than it is to conformity and a blind desire for safety and security...I accept the definition of patriotism as that effort to resist abusive state power." -Ron Paul |

| reply to CMoore2004 CMoore2004, looks like you are correct. I'm following an online Chat session with Sprint (there's a thread about this here on DSL reports). Here's confirmation of what you were saying:
Sprint NEXTEL_loyal asked: How far over the 5gb do you have to be to get contacted? Do business plans have no cap? How is the usage metered? Download? Or entire time connected to the tower?
Tony Jackson : Consistently exceeding the 5GB limit will trigger us to review and take appropriate action by contacting the customer and working to resolve the issue. Existing business contracts that are signed prior to 7/13/08 will remain under existing terms and conditions for each contract. We are not currently metering usage with a rate, but do understand usage and display that usage for customers on Sprint.com. Usage is determined based on the kilobytes used by the customer once connected
