I don't know about the moving stuff but...
This is a hot summer! About a 100 degrees every day.
 Try to put off moving until Sept.
Do the both of you have a lot of stuff? A Pod isn't cheap but will give you some good security.

It is also the 4th largest metropolitan area by population, but approximately tenth largest by gross metropolitan product, in the world.
