Maybe personal weather stations? I'd suggest radar sites but I highly doubt there's that many of them in the area. |

| reply to Rxdoxx I figured it out. It is supposed to indicate lightning strikes. If you go to wunderground.com and get the map for your area and change the map configuration to show lightning the little squares show up. If you set it to hide lightning they go away.
It does say that the lightning is experimental. -- Team Discovery |

Sorry I wasn't around sooner just a very busy summer (work not vacation). It is experimental. The squares are lightning data retrieved from many personal lightning detectors. The larger the square, the more recent the lightning strike. It may still be a bit inaccurate as they try and triangulate the exact strike position.

| Thanks Bags I'm in the process of stripping the deck and re-sealing it, doing it piecemeal so relying heavily on your weather site so I don't get hit with a quick freak t-storm like happened last year. 1/2 hr after I had all the stain/seal down, got hit for about 10 min. Made a mess of everything... blistered.... mottled.... just nasty looking. Got about 300sqft re-done and 300sqft more to go. taken 10 days to get this far... -- Was a Cruise Fanatic, one cruise on Princess cured me. Bleah |
