And then another assumption is made that Verizon will keep the same FIOS prices for 6 years. Verizon hasn't deployed FIOS in NYC yet either, so what's the point of the article? To say how awesome (theoretically) Verizon is and how much cable sucks?

FIOSvzTWC @mindspring.com	reply to smcallah Both companies have done nothing in NYC. TWC is still at their regular speed tier here and Verizon is still copper pots here with its DSL service. And its doubtful that any upgrades will come anytime soon.
