Sounds like you know what you need to do about the job. As far as moving items, seems like you know what your options are there as well. When I moved from FL to UT, I used a company that drops off a trucking container (trailer of a semi) and they let you pack it. You pay based on the number of feet you use. They pick it up and drive it where you are going. When it gets there, you make arrangements for them to deliver the container so that you can unload it. In my case it was a UPS truck. Same principle as the pod system you mentioned.
Oh, I had an almost impossible time finding a job in another state. Employers don't want to give you the time of day as you may not actually move and/or you may not like the area and quit the job. I included a cover letter and explained that I was commited to the move. |
