Major lag spikes in NJ, Jersey City

Today around 4 in the afternoon I started noticing lag spikes while playing wow, it would happen like once..my ping would jump to like 700 then go back to normal a few mins later, but then..like 10 mins later another lag spike would happen and my ping would go back to normal. Anyone else noticing any big lag spikes? websites are loading fine. I'm in jersey city nj.

If your getting it while playing wow, check the forums on there site. I have heard of this problem happening often, it takes time to get resolved. You would find the topic in the technical support forum on the wow site.

Same issues here in Atlanta... lags and disconnects in WoW and also while connecting to work servers or downloading files. Every 3 to 15 minutes the connection "dies" for 5-25 seconds. This is also noticeable when surfing for me however, as I will notice that if I attempt to access a page during a lag spike it gets no response and the browser times out.

Comcast tech is allegedly coming out tonight to check it out. In the interim I let a ping -t www.comcast.net run for 15 minutes last night and saw I am getting 13% packet loss, with the dropped packets occurring in succession of 6-9 in a row, marking times when the connection is dead. This will be even more noticeable while gaming and is seen in WoW as increased latency and repeated disconnects.

Good luck, has been hitting me for about a week, 24-7.
