[Game] Confused on what to do??!?!?!?!

Greetings!

I will be going to a Yankee game in a couple of weeks (weekday game @ 7:05), and have a few concerns. I will tell you my plans and please let me know if they are possible, or is there a better option. I will be going with the family…wife and two kids---3 and 5 in age. This is what is in my head: Drive from PA to Yankee stadium and hopefully get there around 2:30; park somewhere; take a subway to Times Square for a while; then back to the stadium by 6:00. My kids will probably not last the entire game, so that is why I will be driving up from PA. Does this sound reasonable??? Any info and knowledge of the area would be helpful…..parking (can I park in a stadium lot that early), subway info…etc. Thanks!

Take amtrak, to 34th street and bring strollers.

Agreed. 100%.

Tramp around time square a bit, and then head up to the stadium on the subway. After the game, shoot back down to Penn Station and hit the train home. Leave the car in the local rail parking lot.

If the Amtrack times are inconvenient, you could also drive to a PATH or NJ Transit station in NJ; and take the PATH train to 34th Street (or NJ Transit to Penn Station), and continue as above.

Amtrak? Park the car in Trenton and take NJTransit for a fraction of what Amtrak will cost. Best part is NJTransit leaves just about every hour right across the platform from Amtrak.

I hear parking is a nightmare up at Yankee stadium and all the lots of filled due to construction thats going on around there. I would think of parking elsewhere.
