1) Either not reboot the cable modem at the same time you reboot the router. This way the cable modem would already have the MAC from the router and deny the request to the PC. When the router comes back up it would be able to properly obtain a lease
2) Unplug your PC's network when you reboot the router.
Perhaps you could contact Cisco, explain your situation, and see if they can help. If they can't, then it would not be "legal" for anyone here to otherwise provide this to you either. |
