| Email problems
I know this was posted for Calgary, but somehow I don't think it's just a local issue. I'm in Vancouver and email that was sent to me Sunday afternoon wasn't received until almost 24 hours later. This morning I cannot send email using outlook express, the error I get is too many connections. I can still access shaw webmail. |

@shawcable.net | had the same problem - switched my SMTP server to shawmail and they started going through.
I was using shawmail.vs.shawcable.net |

| reply to Delerium I am in the lower mainland in BC as well
I've been having intermittent problems sending mail (using Shaw's outgoing server (shawmail.cg.shawcable.net) as a smarthost) since yesterday as well.
Their tech support recorded message indicates that all customers in the lower mainland may experience problems in sending email. Inbound and webmail is not affected. |

| reply to Delerium I'm a SOHO customer so i have access to a couple of different SMTP servers. I had users in my building switching between 'shawmail' and 'shawmail.vs.shawcable.net' as one or the other were crapping out off and on. Some of our accounts are also through an ISP which allowed them to use that SMTP as well. Of course, with our internet so slow today, even that one wasn't working well.
As of 4 pm, all smtp servers were back up, and we had full bandwidth again. |
