| Need a Gold account.
Engadget says you will need to spring for the Gold account to have access to Netflix.
EDIT: Gold users get it at no additional cost. Not exclusive to Gold as it sounded. |

Most people already have a Gold account. It's only $7.99/month.
You'll also have to have a Netflix account. So that's $17 or so a month to stream unlimited content from Netflix. Not bad. I'm curious as to the content though. I think their streaming stuff is SD, rather than HD. |

I have two XBOX 360s (1 used as a Game Console / Extender with a Gold Account and one that is used just as an extender with a Silver account) and there is no way I am buying a 2nd Gold account just for NetFlix...luckily I can get NetFlix via Vista Media Center. |

Can you not sign in to your account twice? Why not just download it to your other 360? |

| reply to Matt said by Matt :So that's $17 or so a month to stream unlimited content from Netflix. My local Time Warner keeps upping the price and replacing content with shopping channels. Sometimes I wonder if their paid content covers the content they pay for, leaving all the money they get out of me to cover wire maintenance. Must be nice for them.
As attractive as $17 a month is I'm leery to throw any money into equipment and dumping my cable service, like I have with landline phone. Capping stands to put the kibosh to online video. |

| reply to MrJames Well I have a Netflix acount and a Gold Account so this sounds like it will benefit me. I watch movies on Netflix.com once in a while so this sounds very convenient.
My only issue is with the limited availability of movies to watch online thru Netflix. -- "Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them." -- George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-Four.

That is one reason but how about because wanting to charge me another $7 a month just for the privilege of being able to stream NetFlix to another 360 is just plain dumb. What turned out to be maybe a very good feature versus the PS3, just became another way for MS to try to get another XBL Gold account subscription from me. nice try, no sale. |

Are you able to play on Xbox Live using the same account on two different Xbox 360s at the same time?

What Netflix needs to work on next is making the additional DVD content available through streaming so with that, higher resolution streaming and full sound they could get rid of DVDs. |

I just came from the broadcast as GS and it was said you also need a Netflix account. So $50 a year for the gold XBL account and at least $108 a year for netflix. So $158 a year just to watch movies not counting the cost of said movies. Sounds like a deal! |

(Which you can rent Blu-Ray movies with too.)
So yes, it is a deal. XBox/Netflix users are getting this for free. |

XBox/Netflix users are getting this for free. If you don't already have Netflix or XBL account its not. It's $158 you're not currently paying. With PS3, guess what, you just pay for the movies you actually rent. You don't have to pay just for access. Which part of that don't you get? I don't have a Netflix account, so it's not FREE to me.
Sure for the tiny % of people that have both it's a bargin. For $158 one could rent 40 movies from Amazon Unbox. |

Sure for the tiny % of people that have both it's a bargin. For $158 one could rent 40 movies from Amazon Unbox. You can still rent single movies from the Microsoft store. This is an additional service, not an exclusive one.
Additionally, if you have an XBox, you have to have a Gold subscription to play games via XBox Live, so all you'd have to have is a Netflix subscription, which 7 million people or so do. I have both, so I'm excited about this. |
