Two questions: green block and email notification . . .

First question . . . the green block.

When I see my posts, the block on the left . . . where my screen name and avatar reside, is shaded in green. Is this a highlighting mechanism to make my posts easy to find, or is it something to reflect a new member (I only have a few posts so far), or is it a setting I can change in my preferences. (Actually, if it's a mechanism to help me find my posts, it works well, and I wouldn't change it anyway . . . I'm just curious.)

Second question . . . email notification.

When I first started posting . . . in the security forum in that KB951748/ZA thread, I was getting email alerts when I posted there. I have posted some more in that thread and NO LONGER get any email alerts about activity in it.

I have "email" selected in "New topic reply notifications:" in my preferences, so I would expect it to continue in that thread. If the issue is that it alerts ONLY if there is a reply to my posts in that thread, there HAVE been some replies to my posts and I HAVEN'T gotten alerts.

I also always have the "Reply Notifications?" radial button for "Email" checked in the posting window.

Now I see in this forum that the block is shaded in blue.

If you're not overriding the site theme it will change colour based on the forum colours.

You would only get notified if the posts were replying to your post directly, not thread replies if you're not the original poster. You can check your forum preferences to see if they were reset »/prefs/forum

Hmm just to add my problem here. Seems like we have something similar.

I hadn't received any email notification of responses to my posts today until now. I've had responses the entire day and I have reply notifications set to email, but I didn't receive anything until now.

Might be something wrong on BBR's end.

Comcast of NJ II sucks. Period.
25 HD channels compared to the average 32 or so.
