BBR main page thinks I have Optimum Online

In the little box where it normally has the Road Runner forum for me nice and ready to go in the top right... it has been replaced with Optimum Online.

WTF? How do I fix this?

One main thing I could think of is. Are you using a wireless network card? If so, maybe someone close to your house. Is also using wireless but is not using WEP/WPA and ect.

Thats one main thing I can think of.

No.

Also, Optimum Online does not serve my area. My IP address also traces to a Road Runner address so I think BBR's little IP tracer is broken.

I would check on my RR connection also. But I'm away from home right now.

I think you should have moved it to site bugs.

Something is broken.

Or, to put it differently, I am also seeing Optimum there, where I normally see AT&T Yahoo.

I have the same issue.
See Optimum, and usually see Comcast.

Maybe I should review OOL since I now apparently have their service.

I, too, just noticed that BBR changed from my original provider (Mediacom) to Optimum Online.

Actually, it's not us. Blame Sen. Ted Stevens of the Senate Commerce Committee.

Shortly before close of business today they ruled that the internet (or tubes as it's called in the industry) should be run by one organization, OOL. This was largely due to the demonstrated success of ICANN's ability to manage the internet naming system.

One tier to rule them all, One advert to find them, One ISP to bring them all and in the darkness bind them ..

It was glitching due to some test code escaping the roost, and its back to its somewhat reliable state now.
