Greetings All,

The Pittsburgh LAN Coalition is pleased to announce that the registration for our latest installment, Iron Storm 9, is will be open shortly!

Here are the important details you need to know about the event:

Registration:
PrePay: $25
At the door: $35

Date: Saturday, August 16th to Sunday, August 17th, 2008

Time: 1:00pm Saturday - 12:00pm Sunday

Location:
Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department
3600 Library Road
Castle Shannon, PA 15234

Official Tournaments:
- 5v5 Counter-Strike: Source
- 5v5 Call of Duty 4
- 5v5 Battlefield 2/142
- 1v1 Unreal Tournament 3 DeathMatch
- 1v1 "Clamato Bowl" Quake 3
- 1v1 StarCraft: Brood Wars

Console Tournaments:
- Halo 3
- Guitar Hero 3
- Super Smash Brothers: Brawl

As you can see, we've got some newer games lined up, as well as old favorites.

One night? Man. I miss the days of all-weekend smackdownfests.

Show up friday evening, don't leave til Sunday evening. Then you're usually helping the staff clean up to show appreciation.

Until Iron Storm 5, we did it exactly like that. 6PM Fri to 3PM Sun. The problem we ran into is that people would only stay for one night and usually only have about 30 people left sunday morning. Since we made it one night, a good majority of the people stay now.
