| Cannot connect to WPA/WEP wireless network
Hi,
Been working on this for hours now and I cannot find any solution. Anyone can guide me? I'm baffled. Here goes:
I have a wireless network. A router, connected with a cable to my main computer. The wireless network uses WPA-TKIP, to which my laptop is connected without any problem. I also have another desktop computer, that can connect to the network without any problem. And another desktop, with the same network card as the previous (I also swapped them to see if it could make a difference, but no), that can connect if I disable encryption, but cannot connect with WPA or WEP. I use the same wireless card drivers on both desktop computers. When WEP or WPA is enabled on the router, it seems the second computer cannot communicate with it: can't get an IP, and can't get any data either.
Why could the second desktop have problems connecting to the network when encryption is turned on? I tried 100 times to enter the right passphrase with WPA (copy/paste, typing) so that should not be it.
All computers are on Win XP SP2.
Any idea? |
