Scoop, You obviously had big issues with 3web. If you can put thier crappy Tech support and customer service aside, the internet service is perfect.
Since the big blow up last summer (with a small hiccup a few months ago) I can honestly say that I've had NO issues with them whatsoever. The service has been a flat out 7mb and it's worked like a charm.
Jackr, once you are up and running any issues you might have would be similar to that of Robbers, the only thing is 3web doesn't throttle or cap |

| I never got that far. Turns out that 3Web had issues last week on billing and rating, and the reason I never got a key was the account wasn't created. The soonest they could have hooked me up would have been the 14th. Not good. I declined, and took the CSR's ID and case number just in case I get billed next month by 3web after declining the service. I phoned Rogers, and they still had the MAC/Serial number of my SB5100 on file. They enabled it, and I'm back up and running. I'll miss the 2Wire modem for my DSL, but it's nice to have 7mb service again. I'll probably give 3web a try in the fall. |

| reply to elwoodblues out of curiousity, have you ever been charged for going over a bandwidth cap? I am a new 3web subscriber and all I've read is a vague "You might be subject to cable throughput fees".
Other than that - I'm loving their service. They have picked up the phone and been helpful whenever I had a problem (only at the beginning) and the speeds are great for the area (constant 9 Mb/s down, just over 1 Mb/s up; unthrottled). |

out of curiousity, have you ever been charged for going over a bandwidth cap? I am a new 3web subscriber and all I've read is a vague "You might be subject to cable throughput fees". I was considering 3web but I was worried about the same inconsistent messages re: bandwidth. Some people claimed to have been told first hand by 3web that they were starting to apply a 60GB bandwidth limit, while other people claimed no. I wrote 3web an email and IGSJake a PM about it, but got no response from either. I would love to hear if others like elwoodblues have gone well over 60GB without problem. |
