It would certainly be helpful if they would make a publicly available board. It is often like pulling teeth to get any information from level 1 techs. Maybe a website where you entered your zip code and it spat out problems and the next seven days of scheduled maintenance. Most of us have at least minimal backup internet access, if nothing else the local library.

There have been a number of occasions where our local techs new well in advance that maintenance was going to occur on a certain day. If we knew this was coming we could arrange our schedules to work around those times.

Heh, local library at 1 in the morning might not go over well around here.

However, I know at least two local places with free wifi that don't shut down their WAPs at night, and their parking lots get good signal. SOLUTION. OF. LAST. RESORT.
