68 or 69.
68 sometimes refuses to cycle(achieve temp and turn off compressor), as where 69 usually will.
I also occasionally go outside and spray out the dirt/leaves/small varmints off the condenser - this also cools off the condenser a bit in the process.

74 all day - I would love to set it lower at night as I like a nice heavy blanket/comforter when I sleep. Also use a dehumidifier and set it to about 40%.

I actually set mine between 73 and 76 degrees depending on what I am doing, humidity. If I feel hot I'll drop it down a degree. If I am comfortable (fan) I'll leave it higher. |

Then you are crazy. Our Window units are set at 72, but this afternoon I set to 74 to keep the house cool because of the Humidty levels outside today. Usually the units are off while we are at work. |
