As much as I hate to say this, Rogers can do anything they want and their is nothing anyone can do about it. If you want a Iphone I guess you have to pay for it.
If enough people complaint JUST maybe something good will happen. I'm just wondering if Rogers even gives a shit what Apple thinks of the rates....I mean they must have a contract written up.

There's little competition, so Rogers is charging as much as they figure people are willing to pay.
They may find people defecting to Bell or Telus, but being the only GSM player (outside of Dryden Mobility which has only 3 cell sites in Northern Ontario), you would have to open your own shop, and run VoIP to beat a telco based wireless company in Canada.
