Old Tranzeo CPQ-19 (6019) no LAN light - IP3K Board/ AR5213A

I have a Tranzeo that is a few years old that has the IP3K board and Atheros AR5213A card in it. Will buying a different board fix the LAN issue? Is the card ruined? It still shows a signal from an AP like it is supposed to but without LAN I have no way to transfer the data to a computer/AP. I don't think all the CPQ-19's have this type of setup in it. I have noticed that it has two antenna connections on the card and when I read up a little bit about the card it says that it is capable of 5 ghz as well.

This card should work in our WBD-111. You can probably rig it back into the same enclosure too.

Also, even if the baseband supports 5GHz, it does not mean that the RF front-end will support it. On the card, does it say model CM9? If so, it should be a dual-band CM9 card and work in 5ghz and 2.4ghz.

Yes, it is a CM9. The card itself has a second spot on it to place another antenna wire. I had another CPQ-19 6019 that was giving me problems with the radio (flakey). I figured the board was good so I took the card from the radio that would not allow LAN connection and put it in the board that had the flakey card and got an LAN connection and things seem fine so hopefully I saved myself from having to buy one radio. Is there a way to place software on this so I can make use of the 5 ghz radio as well or will it not put out enough power to make it worthwhile? I do have another hole where Tranzeo places their tape over where they usually put the second POE port that I can place an N connector for an external 5 ghz antennal.

I still have the other CPQ-19 enclosure that has a connector that I can put on a card. If I can get a card and board to put it in cheap enough then I would like to do that (if it is cheaper than buying a new radio).

The two ports are for diversity antennas. I'm not sure if the Tranzeo firmware will allow you to switch between antennas (main/aux)? Also, there's not much you can do with the ubicom board as far as different software, so you may be stuck with b/g mode only.

If you did swap boards (and software) and just reused the enclosure, then you would have more options. I mentioned our board (WBD-111) but you could also use Mikrotik, StarOS, etc.
