I do not see WiMax as a permanent solution but I would be interested in a day pass for time I have ether deal with crappy hotel connections or when I go home to see mom, she only has dial up. Better yet for for doing the local G-sale Estates sale, or vulture capital* business I would like a prepaid plan.
*I buy the inventory form closing business and resell on Eba y. |

| Yes, the target is to have a model of day/weekly/monthly pay-as-you-go service with no contracts, maybe even hourly.
Other dedicated devices may have the cost built into the service, like an eBook reader that has the cost of network usage in cost of book, like Kindle. |
