I'd suggest completely removing the 3rd-party wireless network management software that the Dlink and NetGear cards are using, and let Windows take over.

@telstraclear.net		 Hi thanks for your help, I reinstalled the netgear PCI card and settings and it is now working tho' my brothers with a motorola card isn't yet heres hoping
