| 595U External Antenna Problems
I have an external antenna for my 595U, which gets poor signal at my location without having it in my window or hooked to an external antenna. If I leave it in the window it gets too hot from the sunlight and hangs. Because I have relocated the antenna a few times it's starting to give me problems. Unless I use a Zip Tie to hold the antenna adapter fully in the port then I get little to no signal. Would this be a problem with the adapter itself or the 595U? Anyone have a remedy?
Edit, hanging in the window without the external antenna I'm seeing: (-84dbi, Good signal strength) - better than with the external actually.

Cobbs Creek, VA | The barrel connector on the pigtail adapter has splits in it. If you gently squeeze them inward it will tighten the connection to the modem.

| Grab some needle-nose pliers and just try squeezing it a tiny bit, just so it's snug on there again. Or try taking the tip of a pen or something and seeing if the actual connector on the modem wiggles.

595U has a different adapter than AC595 , It is a solid barrel , No splits

I think that I will just leave the external antenna off. As I stated in the edit above I'm getting just as good of a signal without the antenna if I suction cup it to my window. I don't even think the antenna I ordered was sent - this don't even really look like the pictures... oh well.
