Bulbs are OK. I am hopin' that it isn't that stupid dimmer switch again, as it is absurdly hard to get at it...

Follow the path of the electrons. Does the dimmer have power to it? Does the power come out of the dimmer?

Yes, the power runs through the remote dimmer switch, and no, it isn't running.

It is a cheap part, so I will replace it this afternoon.
