More than likely yes - there are not many places anymore that allow incoming connections to the common ports. If you have a business static IP connection, it would be open.
Sometimes you can change the port from 80, to something else - just be advised if Charter finds out, they have the right and ability to terminate your connection, if they determine you are running any type of server on a residential connection (per the AUP/TOS) although this is very unlikely.

If you go this route just hope that they don't catch you.
Chances are, they probably won't. Just make sure it's not high traffic.
Or do what I do, and get a business account. That way there's static IP and no restrictions. I wouldn't recommend this unless you want to run a server of some sort, however. |
