 1/2 download of what advertised

Can anyone think of a reason I would only be getting 3 Mbps of a 6Mbps rate? (upload is fine...512-ish). I've already got a work order in, just wondering if anyone had any ideas...thanks in advance

Not sure what kind of info you might need (equipment, settings, etc.)...just ask

If you can get your modem stats, that would be handy. If you do a search for your modem type, you should find info on how to get into it's diagnostic page. The info from there is very helpful with troubleshooting.

The goal of the broadcast engineer is to get all the meters on the transmitter to go as far to the right as possible!!

According to numbers provided(DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec) 3584 608) you are only provisioned for 3meg

What exactly does provisioned mean? Centurytel isn't sending a 6 meg signal (or however it works)? Or is it a hardware issue because I'm definitely paying for a 6 meg plan...thanks again

What you are provisioned for is clearly listed in your modem stats. It say DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec) 3584 608 where the 3584 is the download speed your modem can see and that is all you have.If it was a 6meg the 3584 would say 7168.You need to call Support unless one of the C-tel techs here can help out.

Had a tech come out and it turns out I'm not even eligible for the 6mb line. He says the most I can get is 4mb. So I do a speed test and I only get 1.5mb down. I call Centurytel and tell them I've been paying for a 6mb line that I'm not even eligible for and I'm only getting 1.5mb of that. She tells me it's the same price for all speeds >3mb and sets me up with the 4mb line. They send another tech guy out and I guess the first guy hooked my line up wrong (whatever is involved in that).

Long story short...everything fixed...
