| Do you get a modem/router combo with Shaw internet?
I'm currently with Telus, and once the contract ends i'd like to move to shaw
HOWEVER, the big plus being with Telus is they give you a pretty good modem/router combo for free rental, its a 2Wire
do you get anything like this with shaw or just the modem?
Thanks |

| reply to PG_BC Trust me. The Shaw modem and your choice of router is a far better and more reliable solution. The 2Wire is a royal piece of crap as is the Siemens that Telus offers. I have Shaw currently and I've used both of Telus' wireless gateways before and the Shaw modem with my basic Linksys wireless router has been rock solid in comparison. |

@acanac.com | I kinda think shaws service is junk. The modem they sent me had to be always unplugged after a few hours |

| reply to PG_BC Yes, you get the modem. I had a Telus modem that I exchanged for a free Shaw modem i.e no $5/ month charge. But, have you thought that if Telus gave you the 'router', they also control the settings on it and what is allowed in?
Food for thought. -- "In the future, that which is not madatory will be illegal" |
