If you suspect interference from a near by wireless network, perhaps on the same channel, run one of these scan tools to see if anyone maybe causing a problem.

I had to change my wireless network from Channel 1 to Channel 9 awhile back when a neighbor came up on Channel 1. My wife's wireless XP Pro desktop would start dropping the wireless connection for no apparent reason. FWIW, I was running a Buffalo WBR-G54 at the time, which I have since bricked playing around with DD-WRT...
