[TWC] Never heard or seen this problem before.

I was just wondering if anyone has had this particular problem:

For some reason cable channel guide has started popping up on its own, and when I hit exit on my remote it will go away for a few seconds up to an hour, but will pop up again and sometimes when it pops up and I hit exit it will stay up and I have to wait a few minutes then before I am able to exit from the channel guide.

I contacted TWC and they told me to unplug my cable box for 6 minutes then try again and see if that works, but it didn't and I have to call them again to see if I can get a tech out here to replace the box, or fix it.

Anyone out there ever have this problem before?

Get a new box. You don't need a tech visit to get a replacement STB. You should be able to exchange the defective STB at a local TWC payment center. Get the location from CS.

Good luck...JL

Take the batteries out of the remote, see if that fixes it. The remote may be defective.

Then cover up the front of the box, to block the remote "eye", to see if that fixes it. The box may be receiving signals from something else.

Took the defective box back yesterday and exchanged it for another box and everything is working just fine.
