Anyway, Yeah, the G26 problem definitely wouldn't affect you, as it seems most of the customers were NOT re-pointed. We're still pointed at G26, regardless of if it moved out of orbit or not (Which I think happened, as I have a very, very poor signal).
Hughes, just has a lot of problems. Overselling the product with little upgrading to accommodate the influx of new customers.
As others have said, bandwidth is very limited in the sky... there is only so much a satellite can process every second.
From what I've seen so far, Intelisat has no plans to move or replace G26. They are still trying to figure out how to allocate the remaining bandwidth.
