| Linksys BEFSR41 With DSLX
I'm not a DSLX customer but plan to be.
I was gonna use a ZyXel P-660H-D1 but after a lot of searching I concluded that none exist on planet Earth.
The Linksys BEFSR41 appears to be obtainable almost everywhere. However after looking at the manual, there is no mention of the VP or VC settings ... in fact, very few specs are listed. Is the Linksys BEFSR41 compatible with DSLX?
Any suggestions for other routers?
Thanks!

| reply to KenB Hi Ken,
I would recommend getting the free modem lease from us. It is a free lease; you simply pay the shipping and handling and one time CA modem use tax. With that we warranty the modem for the life that you have the service. As Lanik mentioned, you can then plug in your Linksys router behind our modem to run your network.
Let us know if you have any questions.

| reply to KenB hello, I noticed a wireless+router version of the ZyXEL equipment at www.buy.com P-660hw-D1 »www.buy.com/prod/zyxel-p-660hw-d···366.html
A frequent poster in the Zyxel forum here, Anav, will probably be happy to give you a quote and/or equipment suggestions too - »ZyXEL

You'll need to decide whether to go with a separate ADSL modem and router, or a combo modem+router. |

| reply to dslx_gm said by dslx_gm : you simply pay the shipping and handling and one time CA modem use tax. When I talked to DSLX I was told the CA use tax was $2.84 per month ... I was not told it was a one time tax.
Please verify ... is it a one time or monthly tax?
Thanks George!

| Those are two separate items. The item you are referring to is the SSR which is $2.88 per month.
For the modem it is a free lease with a $30.00 instant modem rebate. It is therefore $30.00 plus CA modem use tax of $2.48 with an instant rebate of $30.00. The net effect is a one time CA modem use tax of $2.48. |

@Level3.net | reply to KenB Nope ... I already knew about the $2.88 SSR. I was actually given 2 quotes for the use tax ... $2.48 and $2.84 and they said it was monthly. No one mentioned the $30 fee or the rebate. Anyhow ... I'm clear now. Thanks George!
