| Consumerist can eat it.
Consumerist.com bans you if you make too many comments supporting the company being bashed or discredit the consumer's complaint, even if your comments are proven with sources and make perfect since. I highly recommend not giving that website traffic.
I used to love that site until they banned me for calling out and disproving a guy's complaint about being fired from Best Buy/Geek Squad. |

| hmm... i was also banned and have never looked back. blessing in disguise as now i have reclaimed all that time. i was banned mostly for being critical of the editorial team for posts that are pseudo news. the site walks a thin line between being taken seriously and being seen as a joke. |

| reply to morbo Yes, I absolutely despise their front page news featuring simple (obviously computer generated) labeling mistakes and then lampoon the PEOPLE who are employed by said company.
I used to work for Geek Squad. People have their opinions about it, but I just hate it when a handful of people do something bad or dumb, then everyone who works there is lumped together as an idiot. Geek Squad was a crap job and I disagreed with a lot of their policies (if it has a virus... FORMAT THE MOFO!!), but it gave me some valuable hands-on time with very common issues and helped me breeze through a lot of my professional certifications. Everyone I worked with at my store was very smart, competent, and were really just victims of corporate policies. Hardly any reason to insult their intelligence. |
