Any Information would be appreciated

Just wondering if anyone had any information on what is going on with Suddenlink in W. Texas (San Angelo Area). I'm paying for 8MB/512k but rarely see that. I just ran a speed test and here is what I got:

The upload speed seems to stay the same throughout the day, however, I've seen the down speed drop into the 500kbps range during peak hours... I understand that cable internet involves sharing bandwidth with adjacent users and that bandwidth is going to drop a bit at peak usage times, but going from 8Mbps to 500kbps is outrageous. It usually averages around 1.5Mbps though. If anyone has an information as to what the problem is please let me know.

I'm in Abilene, I had speed issues for a long time. Pete Abel was able to get the locals to come by and respond to an extent. They are not done with their "upgrades/repairs" yet here. When they took over from Cox they were apparently feeding both Abilene and San Angelo on the same "pipe" and I don't see the speed that I pay for during peak times either.
