| Not only that, but 3 of those arrested were children.

| reply to qworster The Guardia di Finanza (the Finance Guard) is not the "Italian Army". They're a subdivision and a law enforcement arm of their Economy and Finance agency. They're like a mix of the Secret Service, DEA, FBI, ICE, Coast Guard and US Treasury agents rolled into one. They go after drug trafficers, tax evaders, cyber criminals, etc. It's not like army 'regulars' stormed a place and hauled out a bunch of kids.
We certainly wouldn't be shocked if the FBI raided a similar facility if it were in the US. |

And they do this since the Guardia di Finanza were always tasked with this type of law enforcement just like the FBI does here. |

| Yes we would what? And we were what?
At least make some attempt to follow the topic. That Cuban brat as ZERO to do with enforcing the Copyright Act.
But since you bring it up, you should actually read the links you post.
NO ONE was surprised that the gov't enforced the court order. And it wasn't the FBI, it was border agents who enforced the court ordered return of the kid. Given that the family told the gov't that they would "deal" with any intrusion, of course border agents were prepared to defend themselves and no one was injured. Hell, the SWAT officers even knocked first and only entered after no one answered the door.
The court ordered the kid returned, police tried to talk the extended family into releasing the boy back to his father. They refused to comply with the lawful order so the border agents had to enter the home to enforce the order and send the child home to his father who had legal custody.
If someone else in your family stole your kid and took him to another country, you would pray for that gov't to safely get your child back to you. That's what happened.
What's the next wiki article you'll cut and paste? Waco? |

| The FBI does these types of raids (enforcing federal statues) all the time whether it's stopping counterfeit works, or any number of other Federal crimes »www.fbi.gov/hq.htm
It shouldn't surprise anyone if the FBI raided a facility like that. That's their job and in Italian government, it's the job of the Guardia di Finanza (Finance Guard). |

Going off on a tangent here, but this is a perfect example of how screaming yellow TV journalism influences opinions in this country. And then we wonder why the worst candidate gets nominated by both parties every election ... -- The public is a poor business manager. |

| It is funny that the picture of the border agent getting Elian out of the closet won a Pulitzer (in 2001) and it was Joseph Pulitzer who in his battle with Hearst started the whole yellow journalism craze of the late 19th and early 20th C. |
