You mean it is not a really wi-fi device?
It is a wifi (802.11) device with it's own radio inside so you do not need to use an XR2 card for it.

I meant should I use XR2 on base station(transmitter) side where have no NS2(There're sector antennas)

You can use any 802.11b/g (aka "WiFi") compatible AP. That is the whole point of using a 802.11 WiFi CPE.

Although many would say the XR2 is high quality (I am not passing judgment one way or another) and since it is from the same manufacturer, that is the best choice - of course that is entirely up to you and your business plan.

Sorry I misunderstood. You can use pretty much any Wifi/802.11 AP or mini-pci card to connect to it.
