| OnDemand Problems, Question, NEPA
I finally got rid of my only cmcast HD DVR and downgraded to a basic digital box 3250. Since I did that I can not access OnDemand at all. It gives me a message of (ERR-40961)
Is anyone aware of this issue, as comcast claims it is an issue in the area, and my ondemand has been down for 2 weeks. I have already swappped boxes and it s not the problem. It is funny how it worked just fine with the 23.00 HD DVR but not with the basic.
Anyone that can help, I use HD Tivo's and only wanted the basic box for acces to things like WWE On demand, not in HD anyway.

| Your box may be having problems pulling an IP address. There is a way to look.
Go to the box and press and hold in the SELECT button until the light beside the envelope on the bottom right of the box lights up.
Then hit INFO
You can scroll through the pages with the VOL+ & VOL- buttons on the box. Page 4 should show an IP address at the bottom right of the screen. If it is showing as 0.0.0.0 then your problem has been identified, but if they are having a system issue with this, then it is out of your hands.
If you do have a IP address, then the first page will show you what your signal levels are for the channel you are on and show return and data levels for the box. Your RDC reflects return, but may not be accurate if the box isn't showing an IP. |

| reply to Chezbrgr2 That was it No IP address, don't know how I fixed it but after being in the menu's for a whileI decided to disconnect and then reconnect and reboot.
Somehow this fixed it after about 20 previous reboot's!
Glad I was able to avoid a tech coming here. Thnaks for helping out. |
