I am just putting this in here so someone will see the trouble I have with DSLE. To make this short several times I have had to call DSLE cust service and durning the call there cust service has said I am quite able to have 6/512 connect speed as I have had before, well again after getting my hopes up after I had the rep tripple check that I could, with no call, e-mail or any other contact the order was cancled and when I called up about it all I get are excuses. I am going to drop DSLE because AT&T will give to me in writeing that I can get 3/3 at min. I also asked for a writen apology from DSLE and nothing I have had nothing but excuses and I am tired of the BULL from DSLE. |

I would like to apologize for any inconvenience that you experienced. When you do a pre-qualification test from our website to see what package your line get, our system dips into the Telco database to get those results. In your case it appears that when you ran the test on our site, the Telco returned that you were able to get the 3000-6000/512-768 package. When our orders team went to process the order they found that AT&T had rejected the order stating that you unfortunately did not qualify for that speed tier. They came back with the highest speed tier that you can get as the 1500-3000/384-512. As offered by our orders team, we would be happy to place you on that package.

And here we go again went through the same speal last time DSLE says I can have a faster even 1500/3000 and a few days later I get the order cancled with no e-mail or call, you are just doing the same again, because I will then get told when I call I will be told the fastest I can get is 1500. Unless I have it in writing that I will get that 1500/3000, oh by the way to explain a little more when I first signed up with DSLE I hade 3000/6000 and was getting 5.3 like a rock but I needed to change my PH# same address nothing phy changed just the # all I can get is 1500 so I am not a happy camper and tired of the excuses because AT&T cane out and there tech showed me that DSEX hade put a cap of 1500 on the line. |

AFAIK DSLX only owns the ATM network, all the DSLAMs are owned by AT&T. Want to guess where you cap resides? Hint: on DSLAM.

I saw the work order that the ATT tech had and it said caped at 1500/512 DSLExtreme so apparently I can read. And why does ATT say I can get 1500/3000 through them because if ATT is capping DSLE then I would call that a violation of antitrust laws. |

Hi Splain
We have you profiled at 1500/512 because that is the plan you are paying for. The work order is going to show the plan you are on it is not going to show what the line can handle. You were offered the 1500-3000/512 Back when the 3000-6000 order was rejected and you refused and are refusing again when George offered to get you that speed. If you change your mind we would be happy to assist you in placing an order to upgrade the line.

I would like to add that I can personally empathize with your situation. I had a similar thing happen to me at a previous residence. The truth is that no matter what the telephone company tells us; the distance to the CO (or in your case RT) is always the same regardless of who the provider is. Because the line is being restricted do to your distance from the equipment you cannot get a speed with ATT that you cannot get with us.

Did anyone read the first post I had a 6000 plan before and was rock steady at 5300 now because I changed my ph# and thays ALL I can't get anything higher than 1500. Sorry it's bulls--t as far as I can see |

One more thing about the cap, yes any ISP can cap a line all they have to do is tell ATT to cap it, as far as the antitrust that's what the GOV got Microsoft on unfairly interfering with other Co on what they are providing. |

Neither one is interested in capping you just because, sorry to say but you're just not that special. They are interested in keep you as a customer and getting you the highest attainable speed for you line conditions.
You're obviously not looking for help and just ranting so have fun with it and good luck.
