They (Verizon) fail...I can load my own MP3 clips for ringtones using the Motorola Phone Tools without paying for any of the useless selection they have for ringtones... |

| I used to be able to do that with my old Verizon phone and BitPIM. When it came time to renew my contract, I got a new phone. Lo and behold, Verizon has locked BitPIM out of writing to the phone so I can't upload new ringtones.
I did find a workaround with MyxerTones.com which lets me send MP3 files to my phone as Picture Messages (which can then be saved on the phone as a ringtone). This winds up costing me $0.25 for each ringtone. It's not as good of a deal as "upload for free using BitPIM", but it's still a better deal than the $1.99 per ringtone that Verizon charges. -- -Jason Levine Support a children's charity.
