| [M & G] Beaverfest II: The Sequel
The Meltdown/Beaverfest 2008 |
 and I took our Beaver to the spectacular Mountain Music Meltdown festival in the heart of the Adirondacks a year ago today. We TRIED to make it a NY Forum M&G vacation, but wound up with just the two of us and a Beaver in a cabin for 8 in a mountain paradise. We also heard some great music and partied with some of the nicest people in the Universe. So...... after many negotiations by the promoters... the MOUNTAIN MUSIC MELTDOWN returns to Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks! (Thanks to new sponsor, Magic Hat Brewery of Vermont.) While on-site lodging is available this year, we could always return to Charlie's Inn in nearby Lake Clear, where we could rent cabins and rooms. Transportation to and from the Festival grounds at North Country Community College/SUNY is available, as well as bus and air service from New York City. Shall we try this again, or will it be just two old men and a Beaver in 2008?  |

True, but realize that if I have to bail out due to work or some other unforeseen circumstance, I do not want to cause any problems for you guys. I can't say for certain if I will be able to go until about a week before. And then even that would be 96-99% with 100% certainty I'd know that Saturday. |

Charlie's Inn is owned by friends of me and the Mrs., and they're very flexible with reservation cancellations. (not to mention 1/4 the price of a chain hotel in Lake Placid.)
They have a cabin that sleeps 8, which is what Gary and I rented last year, and an Inn over the bar/restaurant with several single and double rooms. Very cozy and peaceful. |
