[MO] HDMI Not Working Today

Anyone else wake up in Springfield today to find their HDMI connection not working. Tried different HDMI inputs and cables on TV and still no signal. I then hooked up component cable and it works. Also tried turning off and unplugging box.

Does this mean I need to get a new box?

Why?

Your component output still works.

I want the HDMI input signal(digital) because the HD signal is much clearer on my TV than the component(analog) signal.

I was thinking maybe they did a firmware/software update overnight that might have changed something.

Also I tested all the HDMI inputs on the TV and they are working.

I really can't tell any difference, well except when you get that blue screen saying security has been compromised...

Not sure about your security message. My tv displays 'HDMI 1' at the top and 'No Video Signal' at the bottom.

Oh I was talking about HDMI being very sensitive and occasionally going to blue screen when the DCT is powered on.

I have only experienced this issue, the security being compromised, when I was routing thru my surround sound. Are you getting this direct to your tv as well?

Not my TV since I don't use HDMI at my place, but some TVs do it.

Contacted Mediacom support. They said there had been no changes on their end and that I should just switch boxes.

Problem solved with new box.
