I am interested in purchasing a Philips DVDR3575H/37 DVR to record television shows.
You should be able to put your cable card in the Phillips DVR and it should (theoretically) work like your Sci-Atl box did, but maybe better.
The DVR model he's interested in only has a ATSC tuner, not a QAM tuner or CableCARD slot:
